Obtain a Traffic Clearance

 

Instructions for Obtaining a Traffic Court Clearance (Driving Abstract)

A Traffic Clearance can be obtained at the Traffic Violations Bureau at the Superior Court building in Hagatna, or at the Northern Court Satellite at the Dededo Mall, or you may email your request to: traffic@guamcourts.org. The following information must be provided: (1) your full name; (2) date of birth; (3) driver’s license number; (4) Social Security number; (5) mailing AND physical addresses if they are different; and (6) reliable contact telephone numbers. Additionally, you will need to present a current and valid photo identification card, or attach a clear copy of a current and valid photo identification card to your email request. Requests received via email may take three to five business days to complete.

The court fee for the Traffic Clearance is $10.00. Should you require an e-copy of the traffic clearance, you will be charged an additional $1.00. Should you want the document mailed to you, you will also be charged postage via regular USPS mail at $0.53 for standard mail (postage fee is subject to change).

Payment of fees can be made by cashier’s check, postal money order or on-island personal checks for the exact amount due, payable to the Superior Court of Guam and mailed to the following address:

Payment can also be made by Visa or MasterCard credit card. Be advised that credit card payments are subject to a 3.10% credit card convenience fee. The credit card information required is as follows: (1) full name as it appears on the credit card; (2) credit card number; (3) expiration date of the card; (4) CVV number; (5) billing address; and (6) type of credit card.

For your convenience, please fill out the attached Traffic Clearance Request form and credit card authorization form and email it to the Traffic Violations Bureau at traffic@guamcourts.org along with a clear, legible copy (or photo) of your valid photo identification card.
